Susan Osterhoff's Journey of Gratitude | Project Commotion, California, United States

In this episode of Journey of Gratitude, Susan Osterhoff, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Project Commotion, opens up about building a space where every child, regardless of learning style or ...financial background can grow through movement and play.

Growing up doing gymnastics on the playground and watching her older sister thrive as an amputee shaped Susan's deep conviction early on: every body belongs, and every child deserves the chance to explore their potential.

Today, Project Commotion brings that belief to life across San Francisco through bilingual preschooling, active school residencies, and support networks that care for parents just as much as kids. Since Susan completed her Gratitude Network Fellowship during the uncertain days of 2020, Project Commotion has doubled its staff, more than doubled its budget, and reached twice as many families.

It’s a story about movement, family resilience, and what happens when communities back the growth of every child.
