Entrepreneur Wines was founded by Randy & Patty Haykin. Their idea was to produce spectacular wines from the most sought-after vineyards in Napa and Sonoma Counties. They teamed up with well-known wine makers Jeff Fontanella and Kirk Venge to start producing these their chardonnays, pinot noirs and cabernets in 2009. They named the wine brand “Entrepreneur” to honor the many Fellows that Randy had worked with over the years as a serial entrepreneur and venture funder, but then realized that the Entrepreneur should really be a tribute to the men and women who are passionate SOCIAL Fellows. The winery has been 100% philanthropic from the start, with 25% of revenues from club memberships going to charities for children and youth.
This represents the first time that a vertical collection for Entrepreneur Wines has been produced — it’s a special for the Gratitude Network soiree. The package includes four Entrepreneur Wines cabernets: 2009 (Mt. Veeder, Crouse Vineyard), 2012 (Diamond Mountain, Constant Vineyard), 2013 (Rutherford, Far Niente Vineyard) and 2014 (Atlas, Peak, Stagecoach Vineyards) – each vineyard is highly sought after among wine lovesrs. The wines come in an attractive wood boxes with the Entrepreneur Wines logo. These wines are expected to cellar for 20 or more years, but are also quite drinkable today. Tune in your favorite FM station or stream content from your smart phone!
Also, included is a guided tour for a party of four to the California Historical Radio Society (CHRS) museum in Alameda with lunch. CHRS is the west coast’s largest museum dedicated to the preservation and education radio and broadcast.

Along with wine tasting, museums, churches and other historical sights, Cortona offers a wealth of good restaurants, cafes, shops and entertainment. The town has retained its local, historical character without selling out to trinket and souvenir shops that dominate so many other Italian towns.
You will want to take the flavor of Italy home, so we’ve arranged a cooking class for two taught by professional Cortona chefs. Over the course of 3-4 hours, guests learn to prepare a delicious multi-course traditional Tuscan meal, then dine on their efforts. Excellent local wines flow freely during class and the subsequent meal.

Chef Marc Vogel (www.chefmarc.com) is a SF native, and opened his first restaurant, Wolfmans at the age of 21. He has been invited to cook all over the world, learning from such notable Michelin-starred chefs as, Alain Chapel, Michel Roux Jr. and Raymond Thuilier along the way. During the past, Marc was guest chef at the March of Dimes Star Chefs benefit in San Francisco, the Napa Valley Mustard festival, and the Cuervo Millennium 2000 Dinner in Mexico City. In July of 2001, Chef Marc cooked the inaugural dinner for the new president of Peru, Alejandro Toledo. He has cooked for 65 Presidents/Heads of State and Military throughout the world.
Award-winning wine maker, Kirk Venge (chief wine maker at Venge Vineyards, B Cellars, and Entrepreneur Wines) will pair his wines to the 5-course dinner prepared by our star chef. Kirk grew up in Rutherford, in the heart of the Napa Valley. After graduation from UC Davis, Kirk practiced winemaking at Mumm Napa Valley for 5 harvest seasons under the guidance of legendary sparkling winemaker, Gregory Fowler. In 1999, he decided to work alongside his father (Nils Venge, also a legendary wine maker, and owner of Saddleback Cellars) in developing a winery for the Venge Family Reserve wines. Today, Kirk runs his own winery estate, Venge Vineyards (near Calistoga) and is also consulting wine maker at Entrepreneur Wines, B Cellars, and Hunnicutt Vineyeards).
A five-course exquisite dinner, created by this pair, will be served at a unique, one-of-a kind venue, hidden in the hills of the East Bay (Sunol), a private residence that has carved a cave into the mountainside.
