My friends have saved me so many times in so many ways, and enriched my life. They have stayed true over the years. They understand when I don’t have to explain. They give me tough love…sometimes much needed.

I have not suffered disability. I have been able to continue my journey, unlike my wife who died at age 65. My children had no health problems. and have superior executive functioning. I have enjoyed superior care all my like from Kaiser Permanente. I am 73 and have one cavity, and no addictions. When it comes to health, I am a 1 %-er.

My daughter just arrived home after spending 13 months abroad. My brother and his family were so excited to welcome her home. I love how family can create a circle of love.

I am grateful for the family Heritage started by my grandfather, Henry J. Kaiser, whose accomplishments benefit me, and the world, today. Over the next 14 days I will reflect on this heritage in ways that are relevant for the theme of the day. I am also grateful for my 43 year marriage to Peggy, now deceased, and our two great daughters, and the family Peggy and I built together. Henry M. Kaiser, MBA PsyD.

I adopted my daughter, Alexandra, 15 years ago on November 11, 2002., from a small rural orphanage outside of Danang, Vietnam.
